IN PERSON YOGA + FELDENKRAIS BLENDED SERIES

8 week Winter 2026 Series
We’re back with a brand-new series of the Yoga + Feldenkrais blended format, completely low-tech and in-person. Join us for an 8-week series starting Thursday, January 8th, right in the heart of the Twin Cities.

The Breathing Place is a charming, non pretentious, warm little studio in the basement of Olivet Congregational Church. The space allows for a small intimate group so you can get the most out of every session. With a limited number of spots, there is plenty of room for individual attention, detailed feedback and support that simply isn't possible in an online setting.

ABOUT THE BLENDED FORMAT:

This class has a little bit of everything to help one get unstuck from the daily habits that lead our bodies to feeling not as good as we know they can feel. While both yoga and Feldenkrais encourage body awareness, respect for limits, and self-discovery, their approaches differ. Yoga often emphasizes alignment and holding poses, while Feldenkrais focuses on gentle, comfortable movements that improve coordination, ease, and efficiency without strain or stretch. Instead of fixed postures, Feldenkrais explores developmental movement patterns and mindful exploration. In these classes, Sarah integrates the two forms together. Each class is an original, innovative creation of Sarah’s teaching. The pace is slow and accessible to all levels, inviting curiosity and personal exploration within a compassionate, non-competitive atmosphere.

Perhaps this is the season to begin again.

I hope to see you there!
Sarah

There is a story often told about the anthropologist Margaret Mead. When a student asked her what she considered to be the first sign of civilization in a culture, they expected her to say a clay pot, a fishhook, or a grinding stone. Instead, she reportedly held up a healed femur bone. In the animal kingdom, a broken leg is a death sentence. You cannot run from danger, you cannot get to the river for a drink, and you cannot hunt for food. You are meat for prowling predators. A femur bone that...
